When you’ve gained 10 pounds from January to April due to working out and an increased appetite, and since then you’ve been conscious of your exercise to consumption proportion to ensure you don’t start becoming overweight (but an increase due to muscle mass is fine). Then at a follow-up appointment with your doctor, you learn that your weight’s the same now in June as it was in April, so you give yourself permission to carry on as you are, happily grazing like a proper hobbit.
